About

I completed this album in 2020 and most of the material was written in 2018 and 2019 after a 6 year period of song writing celibacy. It is an album that has more depth and maturity, both lyrically and musically, compared to my first album.

I was going through quite a bit of change during the period when I wrote the songs. In fact, you can say I pretty much pressed the life reboot button in 2019. The album covers various themes such as knowing your truth and being true to yourself. It takes on judgement that society tends to place over individuals. It covers mental health issues, preaches mindfulness, spirituality and calmness. It encourages you to push back at the world when required, and covers suicide through the story of “The 27s Club”. Ofcourse, love is sprinkled throughout the album; the intense and warm kind between two souls and the gentle and well-wishing kind for all that is around us.

Again the music is quite folky and I roped in plenty of violin, and some flute and horn solos.

I hope you enjoy the music, and I hope that you find meaning in your life!!!

Lyrics

“You gave me wings I never had.”

Kid found you

“Filling voids with voids, battling noise with noise.”

Disguise

“I lied to myself many times before. I’m looking at the mirror and I see right through.”

Righteous

“For now you are mentally insane, and that’s perfectly OK.”

Mentally insane

“And we try and save a piece of it all, there’s too much in there to recall.”

Are you there?

“And that touch, put the world in a pot, simmering slowly, as we melt away.”

In a pot with you

“You can’t change the fate but you can the fear, walk tall, smile and breathe the air.”

Sorry
